As part of the research and clinical translational activities, the ImmunoSurgery Lab is looking to expand efforts centred around tumor microenvironment and systemic cellular l immune responses directed against biologically and clinically relevant targets in malignancies. The successful applicant is expected to be pivotal co-worker in the development and improvement of immune cell-based therapies for malignant diseases.
• Duties & Responsibilities
o Lab management and organisation with an excellent team and collaborative spirit within the institution and with our international partners.
o Close interaction with clinical colleagues and within immunotherapeutic programs.
o Analysis and interpretation of immune responses
o Procurement of clinical samples
o Procurement of cellular products for (non-vector and vector-based) therapy
o Excellent expertise in immune-histology and cellular analysis
o Excellent skills in tissue culture
o Advanced flow cytometric analyses and QC documentation
• Qualifications & Skills
o Strong knowledge in human T-cell and B-cell biology and immunology.
o Documented and well advanced practical and theoretical knowledge in (human) T-cell cloning, T-cell receptor, B-cell receptor structure / analysis and biology, DNA cloning and (vector, e.g. lentiviral) guided transfer of genetic material into recipient cells.
o Knowledge in single cell analysis with different technologies is a plus
o Excellent skills in immuno-histology and in situ analysis of B- and T- cell responses in malignant diseases.
o Very good knowledge in molecular technologies, recombinant protein expression, excellent knowledge in flow cytometry, T-cell sorting and gauging immune effector functions.
o Team spirit and will to collaborate within the foundation and with our partner institutions with the possibility to travel for clinical, international projects.
o Fluency in English and excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
